The Buyback Center does not accept scrap metal and scrap plastics. There will be a label that says “CA Redemption Value,” “California Cash Refund,” “CA CRV,” or “CA Cash Refund.” Find out where to redeem eligible beverage containers for CRV. Rinse Out Before Recycling Empty and rinse out aluminum cans before recycling them. Moisture and dirt contaminate recycling and can limit cans’ recyclability. Do Not Crush You do not need to flatten or crush beverage containers. If you’re using an automated reverse vending machine (RVM), keep the containers as they are, so the machine can recognize the container type.
